Logline: In the woods of their subconscious two distant lovers come face to face with their feelings for each other.

Synopsis: Moss and Sidney have been in a loop of emotions of what could have been, when Moss tries to kill Sidney (subconsciously) he ends up bringing her closer which leads to an a hard conversation they’ve been avoiding.

tone.

This is an emotional exploration about the cost of remaining silent after facing something that has moved you deeply. It’s psychological in nature but essentially an emotional journey for two characters who are unconsciously flawed by being paralyzed by morality and safe choices. Inspired by Kung-fu sparring the characters will carry the dialogue with a wit to it that feels poetic and physically exhausting.

the story.

The woods in the film is a representation of the emotional subconscious our characters unspoken feelings live in. The characters we meet are the versions of themselves they haven’t been able to live out. This a classic case of right person wrong time, or right person, right time but maybe not meant to stay in our lives in the way we thought. Sid was ready for Moss when he wasn’t and now he’s ready for her when she isn’t. They share a chemistry that has no subtleties so it feels wrong in nature due to the intensity felt on both ends. But when you experience a feeling like that with someone, how do you not let it consume you and let it go gracefully? This is where we meet Moss, finally coming to terms with his expectations of Sid not being what he thought and in order to vanish her from his subconscious, he must kill her.

C olors. + lighting.

Lots of blue’s and warm tones. different variations of blue for each character to showcase the depth of what’s being felt and still left unsaid. Blue is the color of the throat chakra, and the color of this world. Warm tones when honesty is finally spoken and some greens to represent the heart chakra finally being cleared.
